Role Overview

As an Installer, you will bring equipment into service at customer locations by positioning, configuring, and testing it so it operates safely and performs as intended. This role blends hands-on technical work with customer guidance, because you will explain how the installed system functions and what routine care it needs. You will also remain involved after the initial setup, providing maintenance and repairs while keeping each job safe, organized, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Confirm daily appointments and route details with dispatch so arrival windows and job sequencing stay accurate.
• Use required identification, safety gear, and courtesy items while on site, and keep work areas free of hazards.
• Test electrical components and service systems, including routers, to verify correct operation before completing the job.
• Move and stage materials and equipment at customer premises to prepare for installation, removal, and replacement work.
• Lead, coordinate, and support other installers, including monitoring sub-contractor work quality and adherence to standards.
• Show customers how to use installed products, explain operating and maintenance information, and identify relevant add-on products when appropriate.
• Keep installation tools and equipment in safe, working condition and assist with parts, shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks.
• Review paperwork with customers as needed, complete tasks within allotted timeframes, and work in tight spaces or varied climates as required.

Requirements & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certificate or diploma program is expected, and trade school or technical training is an added advantage.
• Hands-on background installing and adjusting internet-related equipment, including routers, cabling, and electrical systems.
• Ability to test electrical equipment and verify that it operates safely and correctly.
• Troubleshooting skills for routers and service systems.
• Knowledge of installation tools, electrical safety practices, and maintenance procedures.
• Physical capability to work in demanding conditions, crawl into confined spaces, and complete installations across all types of climates.
• Comfort explaining product features, maintenance needs, and paperwork to customers.
• Prior experience installing and adjusting the specific equipment involved is preferred.
