Role Overview
As an IELTS English Teacher at a training institute in Abu Dhabi, you will prepare learners for the exam by teaching its Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking components. Your instruction will combine targeted practice, clear feedback and practical exam guidance to help students build skills and improve their readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach IELTS preparation classes covering all four test components.
- Plan lessons and create or select learning materials suited to IELTS preparation.
- Explain question formats, assessment criteria and expectations across the exam.
- Use practice exercises and mock-test activities to develop students’ exam skills.
- Review student work and performance, identifying strengths and areas for improvement.
- Give constructive, actionable feedback on language use and test performance.
- Coach learners in strategies for managing exam tasks and time effectively.
- Maintain an encouraging classroom environment that supports consistent learning.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous experience teaching English.
- An IELTS-related qualification or certification is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of IELTS format, assessment standards and all four test components.
- Understanding of English-language teaching methods and exam-preparation techniques.
- Ability to assess learners’ progress and coach them toward stronger performance.
