Job Description

Role Overview

As an HR Officer at Majid Al Futtaim, you will be the steady administrative backbone that keeps people processes running smoothly across the business. Day to day, you will look after employee documentation, move new joiners through a well-organised onboarding journey, keep attendance and leave data accurate, and act as a first point of contact for colleagues with HR questions. Your precision and responsiveness directly shape how employees experience the company from their first day onward, and your record-keeping underpins the decisions made by the wider HR team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, update, and file employee records so that personnel data stays current, complete, and easy to retrieve when needed.
  • Run the onboarding process for new hires, including gathering required documents, chasing missing paperwork, and making sure each joiner is set up correctly from the start.
  • Track attendance and leave balances, entering adjustments and flagging discrepancies to the relevant HR colleague.
  • Book interviews, internal meetings, and employee appointments, coordinating calendars and confirming arrangements with all parties.
  • Draft and issue HR letters, correspondence, reports, and internal announcements on request.
  • Handle incoming employee queries, answering routine questions directly and routing more complex matters to the right HR specialist.
  • Protect the confidentiality of employee information by following correct handling, storage, and sharing practices at all times.
  • Contribute administrative support to engagement initiatives and other HR projects as they arise.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a comparable field.
  • Between 0 and 2 years of experience in HR administration, recruitment coordination, or general office administration.
  • Strong organisational ability, with the capacity to juggle several tasks at once without losing accuracy.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to interact with employees at all levels.
  • Comfortable working in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated discretion and professionalism when working with sensitive employee information.

What We Offer / Why Join

  • Join a business that has spent 27 years building a reputation as a regional market leader and continues to create memorable experiences for its customers.
  • Work alongside more than 45,000 colleagues from a wide range of backgrounds, all guided by the company's Leadership Model.
  • Be part of a friendly, positive working environment where people are energised about what comes next.
