Job Description

Role Overview

This position is responsible for the day-to-day human resources operations across designated business units, managing the full employee lifecycle from hiring through offboarding. The role directly supports the organization’s goal of building a results-driven culture by partnering with department heads to identify and solve HR challenges, develop talent, and strengthen stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead recruitment efforts for assigned units by conducting interviews and guiding hiring managers in crafting accurate job descriptions and profiles.
  • Continuously review and update job descriptions, and analyze performance trends to recommend improvements that boost employee retention and development.
  • Deliver onboarding and orientation sessions covering personnel policies, compensation, and benefits, while ensuring all learning activities are documented and accessible.
  • Manage employee relations by communicating disciplinary procedures clearly, handling grievances, and overseeing disciplinary actions in line with company policy and labor law.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with line managers and senior leadership, sharing insights on emerging HR trends.
  • Contribute to company projects by creating tools, templates, and resources that improve departmental efficiency.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly performance reports as directed, including absenteeism data for the assigned business unit.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or an equivalent field from a recognized university.
  • At least 5–8 years of experience in Human Resource Management or Administration within recognized organizations.
  • Sound knowledge of Kenya’s Labour Laws and the Employment Act, 2007.
  • Active membership in a relevant professional body with a confirmed good standing record.
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in HR systems and digital tools.
