Role Overview

This housekeeping position keeps a residential property on Ngong Road in Nairobi running smoothly by maintaining immaculate apartments and shared areas. Day to day, you will handle cleaning routines, laundry and linen cycles, and inspect units between occupants to ensure everything is ready for the next resident or short-term guest. Your work directly shapes how tenants and visitors perceive the property, so reliability, discretion, and a keen eye for detail are central to the job.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and periodic deep cleans in private apartments and communal zones.
• Run laundry operations, change bed and bath linens, and tidy units so they remain presentable at all times.
• Inspect rooms for maintenance problems, damage, missing items, or safety hazards, and report findings to property management without delay.
• Follow chemical safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures consistently across every task.
• Track and replenish cleaning supplies, equipment, linens, and guest amenities to prevent shortages.
• Check apartments after checkout or turnover to confirm they meet readiness standards for incoming occupants.
• Engage with residents, guests, and visitors politely while protecting their privacy and handling requests for cleaning or special room setups.
• Plan cleaning schedules with colleagues around occupancy levels and checkout times.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in hospitality management, housekeeping management, or a closely related discipline.
• At least three years of uninterrupted housekeeping experience, ideally in serviced apartments, residential complexes, or boutique hotels.
• Solid practical knowledge of professional cleaning methods, safe chemical use, and linen handling.
• Strong attention to detail for order, cleanliness, room presentation, and minor maintenance checks.
• Clear communication, teamwork, guest-focused attitude, and a dependable, trustworthy work ethic.

What We Offer / Why Join

The role pays KSh 48,000 to KSh 50,000 per month and is based on Ngong Road in Nairobi. It is a full-time, on-site position with a shift schedule.
