Job Description

Role Overview

This position places you in charge of the complete operation of a healthcare facility, with day-to-day responsibility for making sure every department works as one cohesive team. You will connect clinical service delivery with administrative and financial performance, ensuring the facility remains fully licensed, safe, patient-focused, and aligned with its strategic targets. In practice, your work spans staff coordination, budget stewardship, compliance monitoring, quality improvement, and systematic follow-through on performance data—everything required to keep the facility running smoothly and sustainably.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct daily operations across all clinical and support areas, acting as the central point of coordination and accountability for the entire facility.
  • Translate the facility’s strategic objectives into practical operational plans and budgets that guide each department’s performance.
  • Track revenue, collections, expenditures, and resource usage, investigating variances and implementing corrective actions to protect financial health.
  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities—whether by expanding service lines, improving operational workflows, or strengthening the facility’s market position.
  • Work with the human resources team to maintain appropriate staffing levels, manage deployment and discipline, oversee performance reviews, and strengthen employee engagement.
  • Facilitate effective collaboration between multidisciplinary teams so that patient care and support services flow without unnecessary delays or miscommunication.
  • Maintain full compliance with healthcare laws, regulatory requirements, licensing bodies, organizational policies, and applicable accreditation standards.
  • Promote a culture of quality and safety by championing improvement initiatives, risk assessments, and patient safety protocols across the facility.
  • Review patient experience indicators—including wait times, complaints, feedback, and resolution timelines—and initiate responsive service improvements.
  • Produce regular management reports that summarize facility performance, highlight successes and shortfalls, and recommend clear corrective action where needed.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Health Services Management, or a related field.
  • At least three years of progressive responsibility in healthcare administration or management, ideally within a hospital or private healthcare environment.
  • Proven experience managing healthcare operations, supervising people, and overseeing facility-wide performance outcomes.
  • Strong working knowledge of quality management systems, patient safety principles, regulatory compliance requirements, and healthcare accreditation standards.
  • Practical understanding of healthcare financial and operational metrics, including revenue management, expenditure control, and resource optimization.
  • Solid leadership and communication capabilities to guide multidisciplinary teams, resolve conflicts, and maintain high service standards in a fast-paced clinical setting.
