Health Centre Manager

Role Overview

As the Health Centre Manager, you will take charge of both the strategic direction and the everyday running of the centre, working to keep outpatient services safe, efficient, and genuinely responsive to patient needs. In this role, you will coordinate clinical teams, oversee administrative systems, and ensure every part of the operation aligns with quality standards and financial realities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a clear operational strategy for outpatient services, translating organisational goals into practical daily workflows.
• Manage the full range of administrative functions, from patient appointments and records to facility upkeep, so that care delivery runs without unnecessary delays.
• Lead clinical quality initiatives by reviewing treatment outcomes, auditing practice standards, and acting on patient feedback to keep safety at the core of every interaction.
• Ensure the centre stays compliant, monitoring applicable healthcare regulations, clinical governance procedures, and internal policies on a routine basis.
• Supervise, train, and support doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and other staff, creating a team environment where clear accountability and open communication drive performance.
• Oversee budgets, staffing levels, and medical inventory, making sure financial, physical, and human resources are used wisely to control costs without compromising care.
• Spot opportunities for business growth and service expansion, then lead improvement projects that broaden patient access or streamline existing processes.
• Serve as a key decision-maker on operational risks, troubleshooting issues that arise in daily service delivery and resolving them with a focus on long-term stability.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery, Nursing, or Pharmacy from a recognised institution; a related master’s degree is a strong plus.
• At least three years of hands-on clinical practice.
• Previous experience managing healthcare operations or leading a clinical team will place your application ahead.
• Sound business judgment, especially when it comes to planning resources, controlling expenses, and improving productivity.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary groups, motivating people and holding them accountable for quality outcomes.
• Sharp communication skills for engaging with patients, physicians, support staff, and external partners in a courteous and clear manner.
• A results-focused mindset with solid problem-solving abilities, remaining calm and effective when operational pressures escalate.
