Job Summary
This is the entry and training grade for the Health Administrative Officer cadre. The officer will be deployed at a sub-district hospital, rural health training center, department or unit within a larger hospital, or to a specific health programme. Under the supervision of a more senior officer, the role provides exposure to various administrative duties essential for hospital operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in procurement activities to ensure timely availability of supplies and equipment.
- Support the provision and maintenance of hospital facilities and infrastructure.
- Oversee the general upkeep and cleanliness of the hospital environment.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the supervising officer.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma in any of the following fields from a recognized institution: Health Management, Hospital Administration, Business Administration, or an equivalent qualification.
- Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.
- Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
- Must satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
