You will transform customer requests into finished goods like custom shirts, team uniforms, and engraved plaques, while also designing promotional materials that keep the community informed about events and activities. Your work directly shapes the visual identity of MWR offerings and helps drive participation across clubs, snack bars, and recreation programs.
Key Responsibilities

- Work directly with customers to review artwork and design files, clarify project details, and deliver results that accurately reflect their intent and specifications.
- Use graphic design software and computer-aided design tools to develop original layouts, logos, and artwork for both individual orders and broader marketing campaigns.
- Create and produce a monthly MWR newsletter that advertises upcoming events, club meetings, snack bar specials, and other program highlights, and route it for official approval before distribution.
- Coordinate with local media outlets and official Navy publications, such as the Plan of the Day and Tropical Times, to submit timely content that raises awareness of MWR activities.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot printing presses, engraving machines, and other production equipment to ensure consistent, high-quality output and minimal downtime.
- Track customer orders, transaction records, and project status so you can provide accurate updates and ensure deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with MWR team members on event promotion strategies, offering design input that increases visibility and engagement across all program areas.
- Research and adopt current design trends, software updates, and production techniques to continually improve the range and quality of services offered.
