General Accountant

Role Overview

A General Accountant will manage routine financial operations for an industrial business in KEZAD, Abu Dhabi, keeping transactions and ledger records accurate while producing timely reports. The role also supports tax compliance, financial close, and audit work, helping the business maintain reliable accounts and meet its reporting obligations.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and monitor accounts payable and receivable, and maintain the general ledger.
• Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies in financial records.
• Prepare financial statements and regular reports with accurate supporting information.
• Apply UAE VAT and relevant tax requirements to accounting transactions and records.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end close, including account checks and adjustments.
• Prepare documentation and respond to requests during internal and external audits.
• Keep accounting records organised and consistent with company procedures.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Proven experience in a comparable accounting role.
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT rules, tax compliance, and accounting standards.
• Experience with QuickBooks, Tally, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of financial reporting and general ledger management.
• Strong analytical ability, careful attention to detail, and capacity to work independently.
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or construction accounting is an advantage.
