Accountant

Role Overview

As an Accountant, you will handle routine financial processing and record-keeping for an electromechanical services business, helping ensure its financial information is accurate and ready for review. You will also support reporting and period-end work, coordinating with colleagues across departments to keep accounting activities running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Process day-to-day accounting transactions and keep supporting records organised and up to date.
• Maintain general ledger information and assist with account reconciliations.
• Prepare and contribute to financial reports, checking figures for accuracy and completeness.
• Support month-end closing tasks and maintain documentation for accounting entries.
• Review transactions for consistency with company procedures and applicable accounting standards.
• Work with internal teams to resolve queries and obtain information needed for accounting records.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
• Two to three years of accounting experience; experience in construction or electromechanical services is preferred.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations and general accounting procedures.
• Ability to maintain accurate records, organise supporting documents and handle routine accounting tasks carefully.
• Currently based in the United Arab Emirates.
• Immediate availability is preferred, along with the ability to attend an in-person interview.
