Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Nairobi for a Fundraising and Partnerships Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies to secure grants and donations, building and maintaining relationships with donors and partners, managing fundraising events, and ensuring compliance with all related policies. They will also identify opportunities for partnerships, negotiate agreements, and track progress against set objectives to enhance the organisation’s ability to fulfil its mission specifically through Outreach and Training.
Qualifications
- Experience in fundraising, including grants management, devising fundraising campaigns, and donor engagement
- Proficiency in business development and partnership management, including networking, collaboration, and negotiation
- Excellent communication, public speaking, and presentation skills
- Strong project management and organizational skills, including planning, execution, and reporting
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of the philanthropic landscape in East Africa is an asset
- Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications, or related fields; relevant certifications are a plus
