Role Overview
As a Financial Advisor with ICEA LION Group in Machakos, you will be the primary point of contact for individuals and families seeking to secure their financial future. Your daily work involves sitting down with clients, unpacking their current financial picture, and translating that into practical recommendations around insurance protection, savings, retirement, and wealth-building. By doing so, you help the local community make informed decisions while driving the company's growth in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one client meetings to assess financial goals, existing coverage, and risk tolerance.
- Build tailored financial plans that combine insurance and investment solutions appropriate to each client's stage of life.
- Present recommendations clearly, explaining product features, costs, and long-term benefits in plain language.
- Follow up on leads and referrals generated through local outreach, converting them into long-term client relationships.
- Service existing clients by reviewing their plans periodically and adjusting as circumstances change.
- Keep precise records of client interactions, transactions, and advice given, ensuring alignment with regulatory and internal compliance standards.
- Work alongside branch colleagues to meet collective sales targets and share market insights.
- Represent ICEA LION Group with integrity and a customer-first approach in all community interactions.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability in financial advisory: needs assessment, product matching, and basic planning.
- Sales and negotiation experience, with a track record of building and maintaining a client portfolio.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; able to simplify complex financial concepts.
- Analytical and numerical aptitude, including interpreting financial data and preparing client reports.
- Unwavering integrity, professionalism, and customer focus.
- Ability to work on-site in Machakos, manage your schedule, and hit performance targets with little supervision.
- Academic background in finance, business, economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications in insurance or financial services are a plus.
- Prior experience in financial services, insurance, or banking is preferred, though motivated candidates with strong potential will be considered.
