Job Description

Role Overview

This position places you at the financial heart of a consumer electronics distribution network that moves imaging and printing hardware across African markets under the strategic direction of Asian-based leadership. Day to day, you will steer cash flow, protect margins, prepare IFRS-compliant reports, and translate operational performance into board-ready intelligence. Your work directly determines whether regional distribution runs profitably, stays compliant across borders, and scales without financial friction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the finance bridge between Asian executive stakeholders and African operating teams, translating regional performance data into strategic decisions that align with group objectives.
  • Own the annual budget cycle, quarterly rolling forecasts, and multi-market resource allocation, ensuring targets are realistic, measurable, and tied to liquidity.
  • Manage the full treasury function, including cash conversion cycles, inter-company settlements, and working capital lines that support high-volume distribution schedules.
  • Monitor and mitigate multi-currency exposure by supervising foreign exchange positions, transfer pricing policies, and trade flow documentation.
  • Oversee statutory reporting for monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, in strict adherence to IFRS and local regulatory frameworks across all operating jurisdictions.
  • Maintain a disciplined tax compliance posture covering VAT, withholding tax, corporate income tax, and transfer pricing records, and coordinate external audits and tax advisory reviews.
  • Champion ERP systems upgrades and accounting automation, while re-engineering reporting workflows so finance can scale alongside market expansion.
  • Analyze product-line profitability, channel margins, and distributor performance to reveal cost optimisation opportunities and pricing recommendations.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field; CPA(K), ACCA, or equivalent internationally recognised certification is mandatory.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 2 years in a senior leadership or management role with direct responsibility for financial control.
  • Proven history working with cross-border commercial teams, ideally liaising between Asian and African operations or supporting multi-regional headquarters structures.
  • Advanced technical proficiency in financial modeling, multi-currency accounting, and ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
  • Deep working knowledge of IFRS reporting standards, statutory audit processes, and East African tax obligations including VAT, withholding tax, and corporate income tax.
  • Strong interpersonal agility to manage diverse international stakeholders, with demonstrable integrity and objectivity in financial governance.
  • Strategic mindset comfortable with distilling complex financial datasets into concise, actionable recommendations for executive decision-making.

What We Offer / Why Join

This is a regional leadership seat within an established international supply chain, giving you direct influence over profitability and treasury strategy across multiple African markets. You will have the autonomy to modernise finance processes, upgrade ERP frameworks, and shape long-term corporate financial direction in a fast-moving consumer technology sector. The role comes with a competitive net monthly salary of KSh 200,000, plus meaningful exposure to high-level cross-border commercial decisions.
