Role Overview
This is an entry-level finance and accounting position within a growing company, ideal for recent graduates or professionals with up to one year of experience. Day to day, you will handle transaction processing, reconcile bank and e-TIMS records, and support the preparation of statutory returns, ensuring that all financial data stays accurate, complete, and audit-ready. Your work directly supports the Finance team’s ability to make reliable decisions and maintain compliance with tax and reporting obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile daily financial transactions, including e-TIMS records, bank statements, and general ledger entries.
- Review invoices and supporting documentation to verify accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization before payment.
- Assist with the preparation and timely filing of VAT returns and other statutory financial reports.
- Maintain and update daily transaction journals, spreadsheets, and accounting records with precision.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including tracking payments, following up on outstanding invoices, and recording receipts.
- Perform data entry, organise financial files, and ensure proper documentation for all accounting transactions.
- Help the Finance team during internal and external audits, budgeting cycles, and month-end closure activities.
- Take on additional finance-related tasks as needed to support team efficiency and deadlines.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CPA Part I or an equivalent accounting certification is an added advantage.
- 0–1 year of experience in finance or accounting; fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Hands-on proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheets, formulas, and basic data management.
- Familiarity with basic accounting software and a working understanding of general accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, high accuracy in data entry, and a proactive attitude toward learning new financial processes.
