Role Overview
The TCP Operator supports tubing-conveyed perforating wireline work both at the wellsite and in the workshop, making sure tools and surface equipment are ready before each job. This role carries out inspections, maintenance, and rig-up or rig-down tasks that keep TCP operations safe and efficient. It matters because perforating jobs depend on precise equipment preparation, disciplined safety habits, and clear coordination with the crew and client representatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive maintenance and operate wireline winches plus their surface support equipment.
- Complete pre-job and post-job inspections, tool checkouts, and maintenance for TCP and downhole tools.
- Help rig up and rig down TCP equipment, pressure control equipment, and wireline units while following HSE requirements.
- Get equipment ready and confirm Permit to Work requirements before operations begin; assist with risk assessment preparation.
- Support TCP operations under supervision, including basic wellhead upkeep and repair or maintenance of pressure control equipment.
- Take direction for routine tasks and more detailed wellsite instructions, then complete basic shop and location duties as assigned.
- Help prepare reports for onshore and offshore teams, and follow all quality and operational procedures set out in company manuals.
- Carry out every task in line with company safety and environmental rules, follow environmental procedures at all times, and take part in client QHSE meetings.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Hold a technical diploma in a relevant discipline.
- Bring at least two years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrate a solid history of wireline TCP service delivery with a strong safety mindset.
- Show sound mechanical aptitude.
- Have hands-on experience working with explosives.
- Communicate well and work effectively as part of a crew.
- Be comfortable using Microsoft Office applications.
- Hold any local certifications and medical clearances required for the role.
