Role Overview
You will be the on-the-ground face of Tuishi, working directly with community members across the Coast Region to help them understand and sign up for medical cover, last expense cover, and the Inkind Envelope service. Your daily work involves moving through villages, estates, markets, hospitals, churches, and workplaces—registering new members, guiding them through claims and service activations, and building lasting trust in Tuishi as a reliable community safety net. This role matters because your outreach directly determines how many families gain access to essential health and funeral support when they need it most.
Key Responsibilities
- Register new members at the point of contact, accurately capturing their details and explaining their coverage options in simple, clear terms.
- Educate community groups and individuals about Medical Cover, Last Expense Cover, and the Inkind Envelope, tailoring your message to each audience's needs and concerns.
- Assist existing members with filing claims, resolving service activation issues, and following up until their matters are fully resolved.
- Proactively identify and visit high-traffic community settings—including villages, estates, markets, hospitals, churches, and workplaces—to expand Tuishi's membership base.
- Maintain accurate records of your outreach activities, new sign-ups, and member follow-ups in line with reporting requirements.
- Build and nurture relationships with local leaders, employers, and community influencers who can help champion Tuishi within their networks.
- Address common questions and misconceptions about cover benefits, waiting periods, premiums, and claims procedures to boost member confidence and retention.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience in field sales, community outreach, micro-insurance enrolment, or a similar member-facing role—typically one to two years is preferred.
- Strong verbal communication and people skills, with the ability to explain complex cover details in plain, relatable language.
- Self-motivated and disciplined, comfortable working independently with minimal supervision and managing your own daily schedule.
- Residency in the Coast Region or a clear willingness to relocate there for consistent local presence.
- Genuine passion for serving the community and helping vulnerable families access medical and funeral cover.
- Basic numeracy and literacy for accurate record keeping, plus a smartphone or access to mobile tools for daily reporting.
- Ability to move between multiple locations within a day and work flexible hours that match community availability, including weekends or evening events when needed.
