Role Overview
We are looking for a qualified, passionate primary school teacher to join our team and deliver the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) and Competency-Based Education (CBE) frameworks. In this role, you will plan and facilitate daily lessons, assess learner progress, and create an inclusive classroom environment that supports each child's academic and personal growth. Your contribution will directly shape learners' foundational skills and help the school sustain a strong, well-rounded learning atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, CBC-aligned lessons across assigned subjects, differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Assess and track learner performance using continuous assessment methods, and maintain accurate records of progress.
- Design and implement classroom activities that promote critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication.
- Integrate ICT tools into teaching and learning to enhance lesson delivery and learner engagement.
- Participate actively in co-curricular activities, including sports, clubs, and school events, to support holistic learner development.
- Undertake remedial teaching and learner support to help struggling students meet grade-level expectations.
- Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and school leadership regarding learner progress and areas for improvement.
- Maintain positive classroom discipline, uphold school policies, and contribute to a safe, respectful learning environment.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Must be a registered teacher with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) and hold a valid registration certificate.
- Holder of a P1 certificate or an upgraded Diploma in Education from a recognized institution.
- At least three years of teaching experience in a primary school setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with both CBE and CBC frameworks.
- Working knowledge of ICT and the ability to integrate digital learning resources into classroom instruction.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (and ideally Kiswahili).
- A genuine willingness to take part in co-curricular programs and support the school beyond academic duties.
