Role Overview
This is a teaching position within our school, where you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that align with the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) and the Competence-Based Education (CBE) framework. In your day-to-day work, you will plan and facilitate learning experiences, monitor learner progress through continuous assessment, and adapt your teaching style to accommodate diverse student needs. This role is central to our school’s mission of nurturing well-rounded, competent learners, and you will also play an active part in shaping the wider school community through extracurricular involvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic lessons that meet the requirements of the CBC and CBE curricula, ensuring all learners are actively engaged.
- Design and administer assessments, record results, and use the data to provide targeted support for learners who need additional help.
- Integrate ICT tools and digital resources into classroom instruction to enhance learning outcomes and digital literacy.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date learner records, including attendance, grades, and individualized progress notes.
- Cooperate closely with fellow teachers and school administrators to align teaching strategies and share best practices.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance, behavior, and overall development.
- Participate actively in co-curricular activities such as sports, clubs, and school events, contributing to the holistic growth of students.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment where every learner feels valued and motivated to succeed.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Must be a registered teacher with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
- A minimum of three years of proven teaching experience in a recognized school.
- Holder of a P1 Certificate or an upgraded Diploma in Education from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated familiarity with both CBE and CBC frameworks, with the ability to apply them effectively in daily teaching.
- Solid ICT knowledge, with the ability to use digital tools, learning platforms, and educational software to enrich instruction.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in English, with the ability to present information clearly to learners, staff, and parents.
- A genuine willingness to participate in and support co-curricular activities beyond the classroom.
- Strong classroom management skills and a proactive, collaborative approach to solving challenges with students and colleagues.
