Role Overview

• Our client is launching a modern e-commerce platform dedicated to making agricultural inputs easily accessible.
• We are seeking a detail-driven, commercially minded E-Commerce Catalogue & Platform Associate to drive the groundwork of our digital storefront.
• During the launch phase, this hands-on role centers on building and structuring the master product catalogue, sourcing and formatting high-quality visual assets, working alongside our web developer to QA the platform, and progressively transitioning into store operations

Job description

Core Responsibilities

• Catalogue Architecture & Data Entry: Structure, upload, and maintain end-to-end product listings (SKU codes, precise pack sizes, technical specs, categorisation, search tags, and approved pricing). Cleanse and format bulk data via Excel/Google Sheets.
• Media & Content Sourcing: Obtain product images and technical documentation from suppliers/manufacturers. Crop, resize, and optimize images to site standards; write clear, commercial, and customer-friendly product descriptions.
• Developer Collaboration & Platform QA: Test end-to-end user journeys (search, filtering, cart, checkout, payment integrations) with the developer. Identify UI/UX bugs, broken links, or data sync errors and track them methodically to resolution.
• Merchandising & Basic Storefront Admin: Set up initial product collections, featured items, seasonal bundles, and cross-sell rules. Ensure pricing and stock availability align with physical warehouse inventory.
• Early Operations Support: Support initial incoming orders, coordinate dispatches with fulfillment teams, and handle routine customer product inquiries as the platform goes live.

Key Requirements

• Experience: 1–3 years in e-commerce catalogue management, retail data entry, digital merchandising, or inventory administration.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (VLOOKUP, data structuring, clean imports/exports). Familiarity with e-commerce platforms or ERPs (e.g., ERPNext) is a distinct advantage.
• Domain Familiarity: Exposure to agriculture, agro-inputs, veterinary products, or FMCG distribution is highly desirable.
• Aptitude: Extreme attention to detail (zero tolerance for incorrect units of measure or mismatched pricing), strong written English, and comfort working in an agile startup rollout.
