The Commission then constituted of a chairman, a deputy chairman and fifteen members all appointed by the President. The Commission, since then, has handled matters of human resource management in the public service especially the civil service and local authorities. Constitution of Kenya, 2010 promulgated on 27th August 2010 reconstituted the Commission with a redefined and expanded mandate and a lean membership. View more View less

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

This will be the entry and training grade for Instructor’s cadre. Dutiesandresponsibilities entail maintenance of motor vehicles and equipment, prepareanduse them for instructional duties in the relevant field under guidance of aseniorinstructor. In addition, the officer will prepare lesson plans, instruct, assess, conduct proficiency test for drivers and mark practical work for students.

Requirement for Appointment

  • Craft Certificate in Automotive 
  • Driver’s suitability test
  • Instructors Certificate from a recognized Institution or attended T.O.T course of not less than Four (4) weeks will be an added advantage
  • Registration with KETRB will be an added advantage
  • First Aid Certificate from KIHBT or St. John’s Ambulance will be an added advantage
  • Valid Driver’s Licence (Classes B, C1, C)
