Role Overview
This internship places you at the heart of a Nairobi-based real estate firm's marketing engine, where you will turn raw property footage and listing details into polished visual stories that capture attention online. Day to day, you will create and edit video reels, design branded graphics for property listings, maintain a consistent posting schedule across major social platforms, and monitor how audiences respond to each piece of content. Your work directly supports Sarabi Realty Group’s goal of making every property stand out in a competitive market, helping to build brand recognition and generate qualified leads through compelling digital media.
Key Responsibilities
- Design eye-catching flyers, social media graphics, and digital banners that align with the company’s visual identity and campaign themes.
- Edit property photos by removing backgrounds, correcting lighting and color, and preparing images for both online listings and printed materials.
- Build reusable templates for property listings, promotional announcements, and campaign assets to speed up production and keep branding consistent.
- Plan and schedule daily content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube, including writing original captions and adapting copy to each platform’s tone.
- Monitor social media interactions, respond promptly to comments and direct messages, and maintain engagement logs that feed into the wider marketing strategy.
- Research competitor activity and emerging real estate content trends to suggest formats and topics that could improve organic reach.
- Record and organize lead data generated from social media ad campaigns, ensuring accurate handoff to the sales team.
- Edit short-form videos such as property walkthroughs, testimonial clips, and promotional reels, adding captions, soundtracks, motion graphics, and branded watermarks before export.
- Prepare video files in the correct aspect ratios and resolutions for each platform, including Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and embedded web content.
- Help draft and distribute email newsletters, then track open rates, click-through rates, and unsubscribe counts to inform future mailouts.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in digital marketing, media production, graphic design, mass communication, information technology, or a related field.
- Entry-level candidate with less than one year of formal work experience; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Working knowledge of short-form video editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or Final Cut Pro.
- Basic proficiency with graphic design applications including Canva and Adobe Photoshop for resizing, retouching, and layout work.
- Solid understanding of social media mechanics, especially Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn feed behavior, and Facebook advertising interfaces.
- Ability to work on-site in Kilimani, Nairobi, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Strong visual sensibility for color, typography, spacing, and video pacing, with a portfolio or sample projects that demonstrate this.
- Clear written English communication skills for drafting engaging captions, responding to inquiries, and summarizing analytics.
- A proactive attitude, comfortable learning new software and adapting quickly to changing priorities in a busy agency-like environment.
What We Offer / Why Join
- Monthly gross compensation of KSh 15,000 to 30,000, based on experience and performance during the internship.
- Hands-on involvement in live real estate campaigns, giving you a strong portfolio of published video, graphic, and social media work.
- Direct mentorship from experienced property marketing strategists and brand specialists who will review your output and help you refine your skills.
- Exposure to the complete digital content pipeline, from initial storyboarding and filming assistance to post-production, publishing, and performance analysis.
