Role Overview
This on-site role with a growing brand in Kilimani, Nairobi, centres on building a strong, measurable digital presence that turns followers into customers. The Digital Marketer will handle the full content lifecycle, from brainstorming short-form video ideas and editing footage to scheduling posts and reviewing campaign performance. Working alongside the management and sales teams, this person ensures every piece of content and every ad dollar supports the brand’s lead generation and awareness goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce engaging visual assets for corporate social pages, including reels, short videos, banners, infographics, and promotional photos tailored to each platform.
- Write punchy video scripts, storyboard concepts, and edit finished footage using AI-assisted video generators and traditional tools such as CapCut, Premiere, or similar software.
- Own the monthly content calendar, mapping posts to product launches, seasonal campaigns, and timely industry conversations.
- Manage day-to-day publishing and community interaction by monitoring comments, answering inbox queries, and fostering genuine engagement with the audience.
- Keep tabs on algorithm updates, emerging formats, and viral content trends, testing new approaches when they align with brand goals.
- Plan and run paid and organic campaigns aimed at lead generation and conversions, using platform analytics to adjust targeting and creative.
- Track performance metrics across social channels and report actionable insights to management, highlighting what works and what needs refining.
- Protect brand consistency by maintaining a uniform visual style, tone of voice, and message across every digital touchpoint.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A diploma or bachelor's degree in digital marketing, mass communication, media production, marketing, or a related field.
- At least two years of hands-on experience managing social media accounts, editing video content, and executing digital campaigns in a professional setting.
- Practical proficiency with design tools like Canva and Photoshop, plus video editing applications such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of modern AI-driven content creation platforms and a willingness to incorporate them into efficient workflows.
- A strong eye for visual composition, layout, and storytelling through short-form video content.
- Basic grasp of social media metrics, audience demographics, and campaign performance tracking.
- Excellent written English, demonstrated through clear captions, persuasive ad copy, and well-structured video scripts.
- A portfolio that showcases real examples of graphic design, video editing, and digital marketing output.
