Role Summary
Our client, through Powervision Consultancy, is looking for a seasoned and authoritative Deputy Principal to manage academic and administrative operations across their CBD and Ruiru campuses. This is a critical leadership position designed for an educator who possesses a deep mechanical understanding of TVETA-accredited environments. You will be responsible for ensuring high academic standards, maintaining strict regulatory compliance, and driving the institutional growth of the training center. The ideal candidate must balance academic excellence with robust administrative oversight and people management.
The Role
Academic Leadership & Institutional Management

Spearhead academic planning and the implementation of training programs across multiple campuses.

Oversee daily administrative functions to ensure smooth institutional operations.

Monitor student performance and faculty effectiveness to maintain the institution's competitive edge.

Prepare comprehensive academic and operational reports for the Board and regulatory bodies.
TVETA Compliance & Accreditation

Ensure the institution remains in full compliance with all TVETA regulations and quality standards.

Manage the accreditation processes for new courses and the renewal of existing institutional licenses.

Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory audits and inspections.

Implement internal quality assurance systems to align with national education frameworks.
Staff Supervision & Performance

Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of trainers and administrative staff.

Enforce institutional policies regarding professionalism, integrity, and workplace discipline.

Identify staff training needs and facilitate professional development opportunities.

Manage staff workloads and duty rosters to optimize institutional efficiency.
Qualifications & Background
Professional Profile

Education: Degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior academic or administrative leadership role.

Sector Expertise: Proven experience working within a TVETA-accredited institution is mandatory.

Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of TVETA regulations, compliance, and accreditation protocols.
