Role Overview
This hands-on finance leader helps run the Finance & Accounting function, maintaining dependable reporting, sound controls and compliant accounting practices. Working closely with operational teams and business leaders, the role turns financial information into practical insights while supporting the team’s day-to-day delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting activities and contribute to the timely preparation of accurate financial reports.
- Monitor reconciliations and financial controls, addressing gaps and supporting compliance with relevant requirements.
- Assist with budgets and forecasts, then analyse results against plans to explain performance and variances.
- Review financial data and present clear, actionable insights to support business decisions.
- Maintain effective financial governance, including complete and well-organised supporting documentation.
- Work with operational teams to resolve finance-related needs and assess the financial implications of business activity.
- Identify opportunities to simplify finance processes and improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Guide and supervise Finance & Accounting colleagues in their daily work.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification, such as CPA or ACCA.
- Strong practical experience in financial management, reporting and budgeting.
- Experience supervising or leading a team.
- Background in FMCG, manufacturing or another complex operating environment is an advantage.
