Payroll Representative II

Role Overview

As a Payroll Representative II, you’ll support a portfolio of clients using UKG Ready for payroll and workforce management. You’ll investigate payroll questions, guide customers through relevant processes, and help ensure their payroll data and service needs are handled accurately and on time.

The role combines client relationship management with hands-on problem-solving, including preparing Excel-based payroll import templates and communicating with customers through virtual meetings and other remote channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for assigned clients, responding to payroll and workforce management questions.
• Research reported issues, assess relevant payroll information, and provide clear, accurate resolutions.
• Help customers navigate payroll processes while observing applicable compliance requirements.
• Maintain constructive client relationships through timely, professional communication.
• Use email, video meetings, and remote collaboration tools to understand needs and follow up on open issues.
• Build payroll import templates in Microsoft Excel and support the handling of payroll data.
• Organize competing requests and priorities to deliver consistent support in a changing, fast-paced environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience in payroll, customer service, account management, or HR support is preferred; no specific number of years is stated.
• Working knowledge of payroll processes, compliance considerations, and workforce management practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including preparing and managing payroll data.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail when researching and resolving payroll issues.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to support client relationships remotely.
• Ability to learn new software, tools, and procedures and adapt as priorities change.
• Experience with UKG products or another payroll or workforce management platform is an advantage.
