Role Overview
This dentist assesses and treats oral and maxillofacial conditions, including urgent dental problems, and performs minor surgical procedures. The role also supports patients through emergency admission and discharge, while accurate clinical records and clear oral health guidance help maintain continuity of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients and diagnose diseases and conditions affecting the mouth and maxillofacial area.
- Develop and provide appropriate treatment for diagnosed oral and maxillofacial conditions.
- Perform minor oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures.
- Assist with patient admission and discharge when dental emergencies require care.
- Maintain accurate health records and patient information, and manage relevant clinical data.
- Explain oral health practices to patients and promote awareness of preventive care.
- Assist with complex surgical procedures as required.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery from a recognised institution.
- Current registration and licence with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
- Experience assisting with complex surgical procedures.
