A fast-growing technology company focused on delivering innovative global solutions is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join its team. This role is ideal for database professionals with strong Oracle expertise who can manage database systems, improve performance, and ensure data security and reliability.
The selected candidate will be responsible for database installation, configuration, maintenance, optimization, and troubleshooting. The role also involves collaborating with development teams to improve queries, data models, and overall database efficiency while supporting remote operations aligned with Eastern Time (ET) office hours.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and maintain database systems with a focus on Oracle databases.
• Monitor database performance and implement optimization improvements.
• Ensure data security, integrity, backup, and recovery procedures.
• Design and maintain database schemas, tables, indexes, and views.
• Collaborate with developers to optimize database queries and data models.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, errors, and system outages.
• Maintain reliable and efficient database operations.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar position.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and database management tools.
• Understanding of data modeling and database normalization concepts.
• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions such as AWS RDS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Oracle database administration.
• SQL queries and database management systems.
• Database security, backup, and recovery procedures.
• Performance monitoring and optimization techniques.
