Role Overview
As a Data Entry Operator based in Abu Dhabi, you will be the backbone of our record-keeping and information flow. Your daily work involves capturing, updating, and validating a wide range of operational, financial, and customer data across spreadsheets and internal systems. Because multiple teams depend on clean, accurate records to make decisions and serve clients, your precision directly influences how smoothly the organisation runs.
Key Responsibilities
- Input and update customer details, financial figures, inventory counts, and operational data into the company's databases and spreadsheets with a high level of accuracy.
- Review records for completeness, consistency, and correctness, correcting any errors or missing information before they cause downstream issues.
- Organise and maintain digital and physical filing systems so that documents such as invoices, forms, and reports can be located instantly when needed.
- Use MS Office tools—especially Excel for data manipulation and Word for documentation—alongside the company's CRM, ERP, and accounting software to complete day-to-day tasks.
- Handle sensitive business and employee information with strict confidentiality, ensuring that access to records is limited to authorised personnel.
- Support regular reporting cycles by preparing and consolidating daily, weekly, and monthly summaries for team leads and management.
- Liaise with finance, HR, logistics, and operations teams to clarify data discrepancies and supply them with accurate, up-to-date information for their workflows.
- Assist administrative staff with ad-hoc data-related tasks, including mass updates, data cleanup, and export/import between systems.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; a certificate in office administration, computer applications, or a related field is a plus.
- At least one year of prior experience in data entry, office administration, or a similar clerical position is strongly preferred.
- Typing speed of 40+ words per minute with minimal errors and strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (formulas, sorting, filtering, basic functions) and Word; familiarity with CRM or ERP systems is an advantage.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple data requests and deadlines without losing accuracy.
- Discretion in handling confidential records and a clear understanding of data privacy principles.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is helpful but not essential.
- Ability to work independently, follow standard operating procedures, and escalate issues when data discrepancies cannot be resolved.
