Role Overview
You will serve as the analytical backbone for the sales organization, turning raw business and product data from multiple systems into clear performance insights and forecasts that guide daily sales activity and long-term planning. Day to day, you will build and refine reporting processes, monitor revenue and usage trends, and work directly with sales leadership and representatives to ensure targets are understood, tracked, and met. Your work matters because it directly drives revenue growth, streamlines customer data visibility, and enables smarter, faster decisions across the commercial team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve procedures for consolidating business and product performance data from various internal sources and turning it into reliable, digestible reports.
- Establish and track KPIs for the business and product lines, including monthly performance reporting, sales forecasts, and capability needs planning, and present these findings in management review meetings.
- Gather data from primary and secondary sources and stay in regular contact via phone and in-person meetings with key account managers, sales coordinators, administrators, team leaders, and representatives to ensure alignment on sales targets and progress.
- Support the sales team in meeting revenue goals by advising them on scheduled targets, reviewing their performance, delivering clear feedback, and recommending corrective actions when goals are at risk.
- Design and implement KPI scorecards and sales tracking tools to drive revenue, then monitor usage and revenue through these trackers, identify gaps, and ensure corrective plans are executed.
- Champion the CRM system and drive the integration of systems and customer databases into it, reducing manual data entry and creating a single, accurate view of each customer.
- Build and manage databases, data collection systems, and analytics strategies to optimize data quality, statistical efficiency, and the speed of insight generation.
- Act as a liaison between sales and cross-functional teams, building business cases, addressing operational pain points, and positively influencing colleagues to collaborate on achieving business results while sharing sales trend feedback with all relevant stakeholders.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, business administration, or another quantitative discipline.
- Two to three years of experience in a sales analytics, business intelligence, or similar role focused on sales data and performance reporting.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and ERP systems for quantitative analysis, data manipulation, and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and communicate large amounts of information accurately and with close attention to detail.
- Experience working with a CRM system, including using it for reporting, pipeline tracking, and customer database management.
- Working knowledge of statistical methods and sales forecasting techniques.
- Proven ability to simplify complex data into practical, actionable recommendations that non-technical stakeholders can easily understand and execute.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, along with demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and comfort in a fast-changing environment where multiple priorities compete for attention.
