Role Overview
You will support the Middle East & Africa Network team at a global financial institution, ensuring the smooth delivery of trade products such as Letters of Guarantee, Import/Export Letters of Credit, and Documentary Collections across the region. Day to day, you will work closely with sales, operations, and functional partners to manage pipeline growth, maintain product quality, and drive client satisfaction. This role matters because it directly shapes how the bank competes in the cluster, aligning regional strategy with the firm’s global trade objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Own business accountability for Core Trade products within the assigned cluster, driving revenue and growth targets.
- Assist in defining and executing the cluster’s trade product strategy, ensuring alignment with the broader regional and global plans.
- Build and manage relationships with key internal stakeholders, including sales, operations, and network management teams.
- Identify and promote new product opportunities and trade corridors to increase market share and strengthen the bank’s competitive position.
- Support simplification initiatives by driving global standards while adapting to local market configurations.
- Actively manage the proprietary and third-party network, benchmarking performance and identifying areas for improvement.
- Provide product expertise for structured trade transactions involving large or complex deals, advising on risk and structuring.
- Collaborate with the wider Core Trade Network team and functional partners to ensure seamless delivery and high client satisfaction.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience covering a large and complex geography or region within trade finance or corporate banking.
- Relevant corporate finance background, with strong understanding of balance sheet and working capital solutions.
- Excellent product knowledge of trade products, including structured trade transactions for large-scale or complex deals.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent university qualification (MBA or master’s preferred but not essential).
- Demonstrated ability to drive strategy, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
