Job Description
Role Overview
This role sits at the heart of our supply chain, where you will own the daily orchestration of moving goods from origin to destination—covering freight, customs, warehousing, and last-mile delivery. By analysing performance data and collaborating closely with carriers, warehouses, and internal teams, you’ll directly influence cost efficiency, service reliability, and customer satisfaction. Your decisions will help us scale operations while keeping compliance and safety front and centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and oversee full-cycle logistics flows, including international freight routing, customs documentation, warehouse slot management, and inventory replenishment cycles.
- Track operational metrics (on-time delivery, transit times, cost per unit) and use data to identify bottlenecks or overspend, proposing targeted improvements.
- Ensure every shipment adheres to customs regulations, safety standards, and agreed service-level agreements with clients and carriers.
- Act as the central liaison between freight forwarders, warehouse operators, procurement, and sales teams to resolve disruptions or align on capacity needs.
- Conduct regular risk assessments on routes, carrier performance, and regulatory changes, then implement contingency plans to minimise downtime.
- Generate weekly and monthly performance dashboards that highlight trends, exceptions, and opportunities for process optimisation.
- Lead cross-functional continuous improvement projects—such as carrier consolidation, route rationalisation, or warehouse layout changes—to drive measurable savings or speed gains.
- Support the onboarding of new vendors and the periodic review of supplier contracts to ensure competitive terms and reliable service.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related business discipline.
- At least five years of hands-on experience managing logistics or supply chain operations, with proven accountability for end-to-end execution.
- Deep working knowledge of freight forwarding (air, sea, road), customs clearance procedures, warehousing best practices, and inventory control methods.
- Strong analytical mindset—comfortable using Excel, BI tools, or ERP systems to interpret data and build actionable recommendations.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence teams and external partners across different time zones and cultures.
- Problem-solving agility to handle real-time shipment disruptions, carrier disputes, or compliance queries without losing sight of broader service targets.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CLTD, or equivalent supply chain/ logistics qualifications) are a strong plus.
