A well-established organization in the financial services sector is currently seeking a qualified and motivated Consumer Protection Officer to join its team in the United Arab Emirates. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about regulatory compliance, customer protection, and maintaining high standards of transparency in financial operations.
The selected candidate will play an important role in supporting consumer protection practices, ensuring proper documentation, and maintaining alignment with regulatory frameworks established by financial authorities. This position requires someone with strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to manage compliance-related responsibilities in a structured and professional environment.
The Consumer Protection Officer will also be responsible for keeping up to date with the latest Consumer Protection Standards and Regulations issued by the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) and ensuring that the organization follows these guidelines when handling customer interactions and service processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation and monitoring of consumer protection policies and compliance standards within the organization.
- Maintain proper documentation, reporting systems, and records related to consumer protection matters.
- Ensure adherence to Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) consumer protection regulations and guidelines.
- Analyze reports and data to identify potential risks or areas requiring compliance improvement.
- Assist in handling customer concerns while ensuring transparency and regulatory compliance.
- Work closely with internal teams to maintain accurate processes and reporting structures.
- Stay updated on regulatory updates and industry standards related to consumer protection.
Requirements:
- 1 to 3 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within exchange houses, financial institutions, or customer service environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Arabic speaking is mandatory for this role.
- UAE Nationals are preferred.
- Excellent documentation, reporting, and analytical abilities.
- Willingness to continuously learn and stay updated with consumer protection regulations issued by the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE).
