As Construction Supervisor, you will act as the on-the-ground leader ensuring that every phase of our building projects stays aligned with timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks. Day to day, you will coordinate crews, verify that work matches blueprints and specs, and step in quickly when scheduling, materials, or safety issues threaten progress. Your ability to keep operations moving smoothly directly supports our mission of scaling sustainable aquaculture infrastructure without compromising on safety or craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and direct daily site operations, assigning tasks to crews and subcontractors while keeping workflow organized and productive.
- Translate project schedules into actionable daily targets, adjusting priorities when weather, deliveries, or unexpected conditions cause delays.
- Inspect ongoing work against drawings, specifications, and quality standards, flagging deficiencies before they become costly rework.
- Enforce site safety protocols consistently, conducting briefings, hazard checks, and corrective actions to maintain a zero-incident culture.
- Coordinate material and equipment needs, verifying availability and proper usage to avoid downtime and waste.
- Serve as the primary communication link between field teams and project managers, providing clear progress updates and escalating risks early.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, progress photos, and documentation that support project tracking and client reporting.
- Coach and mentor crew members on techniques, safety practices, and efficiency improvements to build a stronger, more capable team.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent field experience will also be considered.
- At least 3–5 years of hands-on construction supervision experience, ideally involving commercial, industrial, or aquaculture-related facilities.
- Solid working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and current safety regulations (OSHA or local equivalents).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and technical specifications accurately.
- Proven leadership capability, including motivating diverse crews and managing subcontractor performance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with clients, managers, and field personnel.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a track record of keeping multiple tasks moving under tight deadlines.
- Comfort using scheduling software, mobile reporting tools, and standard office applications.
