Role Overview

Tubular running sits at the point where well construction either goes smoothly or stalls, and this role puts you directly on that line. You will assemble, operate, and break down the mechanical and hydraulic tooling that lifts, grips, and makes up casing and tubing, working alongside drill floor crews, client representatives, and third-party personnel through each phase of the job. The work is hands-on, rotational, and safety-critical: the quality of your inspections and the sharpness of your communication are what keep the string moving and the rig floor free of incidents.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate power tongs, elevators, slips, spiders, torque-turn systems, and associated hydraulic power units, keeping every make-up and break-out within the specified parameters.
• Assemble and dismantle the TRS spread on location, including stabbing boards, power packs, hose runs, and the tubular handling tools that support them.
• Maintain continuous, clear communication with the drill floor operator, on-site client personnel, and subcontracted crews so movements are sequenced and no one is working blind.
• Carry out pre-job, in-progress, and post-job inspections; identify early signs of wear or malfunction and resolve basic faults or perform minor repairs before they turn into downtime.
• Follow all HSE requirements without exception, take part in rig safety meetings, and report hazards, near misses, or equipment problems the moment they surface.
• Keep tools, spares, and equipment ready for the next job so that rig-up is not delayed by missing, damaged, or untested components.
• Complete activity reports and job documentation accurately, and take on additional operational duties as directed by the Operations Coordinator.

Requirements & Qualifications

• General familiarity with oil and gas field operations; prior tubular running services, casing and tubing running, or drilling-related field work is strongly preferred.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and the confidence to handle mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools correctly and safely.
• Ability to communicate plainly and stay composed while working with rig crews, supervisors, and clients under demanding conditions.
• Two-year technical degree preferred, or an equivalent mix of technical training and hands-on field experience.
• A procedure-driven approach to problem solving: able to follow work instructions, inspect equipment against standards, and keep gear operationally ready.
• Willingness to travel for onshore and offshore assignments and to work variable schedules, including shift rotations and on-call cover.
