Role Overview
This is a structured three-month training placement designed for recent graduates seeking hands-on experience in company secretarial practice and corporate compliance. As a trainee, you will work closely with experienced professionals to support the accurate maintenance of statutory records, regulatory filings, and corporate governance tasks that keep client companies operating within legal requirements. The programme is intended to build your practical skills while contributing to the team’s daily deliverables, with the possibility of an extended engagement depending on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, organise, and update statutory books, registers, and other corporate documents in line with applicable regulations.
- Support the preparation and submission of required filings to relevant regulatory authorities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain both physical and electronic records for client companies, including minutes, resolutions, and share-related documentation.
- Assist senior company secretarial staff in executing client assignments and preparing deliverables for review.
- Correspond with clients to gather information, clarify instructions, and provide updates on pending corporate actions or compliance matters.
- Research corporate governance guidelines, statutory changes, and industry best practices to support informed decision-making.
- Protect client confidentiality by handling sensitive corporate information with discretion and adhering to internal data management protocols.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Commerce, or another business-related field.
- Either already holds a CS/CPS qualification or is actively pursuing one.
- Prior exposure to company secretarial work, legal practice, governance, or compliance functions is an added advantage.
- High level of accuracy and a methodical approach to handling documents, records, and deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Willingness to fully participate in the entire three-month training programme and commit to the learning schedule.
- Ability to begin the programme in mid-September 2026 and adapt to a structured office environment.
