We are looking for an organized and experienced Chief Steward to lead our stewarding operations and uphold top cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all stewarding operations within the kitchen and F&B outlets
- Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene standards are maintained in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Supervise, train, and schedule stewarding staff
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment
- Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain proper waste management and recycling practices
- Ensure proper handling and storage of kitchen equipment, utensils, and machinery
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of all stewarding areas
- Control breakage, loss, and wastage of equipment
Candidate Profile
- KCSE/Certificate in Hospitality Management or related field
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role in a hotel or resort environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and safety
- Interested candidates should standards (HACCP knowledge is an added advantage)
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and flexible hours
