Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, customer-focused Guest Services Representative to be the first point of contact for our guests. In this role, you will ensure every guest feels valued from check-in to check-out, handle reservations, answer inquiries, and resolve concerns with professionalism and care. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive environment while contributing to a memorable resort experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and manage check-in/check-out processes efficiently.
- Handle phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries regarding room bookings, resort amenities, and local attractions.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to fulfill guest requests and maintain high service standards.
- Process payments, manage reservations in the property management system, and maintain accurate records.
- Address guest complaints or issues promptly, escalating when necessary to ensure resolution.
- Provide information about resort facilities, activities, dining options, and nearby points of interest.
- Assist with special events, group bookings, and VIP arrivals as needed.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization at the front desk and lobby areas.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with a positive attitude.
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email, and reservation systems).
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and occasional evening shifts.
Preferred
- Previous experience in hospitality, hotel front desk, or customer service.
- Familiarity with property management software (e.g., Opera, ResNexus).
- Multilingual abilities (especially Swahili, French, or German).
