  • Plan optimal transit routes to maximize delivery speed while maintaining high fuel efficiency.

  • Verify physical stock against delivery notes and invoices prior to departure to ensure 100% accuracy.

  • Secure all cargo effectively to prevent shifting, damage, or loss during transit across various road terrains.

Vehicle Stewardship & Safety

  • Perform rigorous daily pre-trip inspections, including fluid levels, braking systems, tire pressure, and lighting.

  • Maintain the vehicle in peak operational condition, handling minor troubleshooting and reporting major mechanical needs promptly.

  • Strict adherence to all national traffic regulations, regional road safety standards, and internal company transit policies.

  • Maintain comprehensive trip logs, documenting mileage, fuel usage, and delivery timestamps with high precision.

Operational Support & Representation

  • Actively assist in the manual loading and offloading of goods, ensuring products are handled with care.

  • Collect and organize all proof-of-delivery documentation, returning signed invoices to the administration daily.

  • Support inventory reconciliation by reporting any discrepancies between dispatched goods and delivered quantities.

  • Represent the company with a professional and courteous attitude during all client and customer interactions.

  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience specifically driving Canter trucks.

  • Mandatory Skill: Proven expertise in operating 6-wheel trucks is an absolute requirement.

  • Added Value: Prior experience within the FMCG distribution sector and a strong layout of Kiambu road networks.

Personal Attributes

  • Physical Capability: Must be physically fit and capable of handling regular loading and offloading tasks.

  • Integrity: A high sense of responsibility and honesty in managing fuel, vehicle maintenance, and cargo.

  • Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality and meeting delivery deadlines under varied conditions.
