Business Analyst

Role Overview

As a Business Analyst in Focus Infotech’s Dubai team, you will turn business priorities into clear, testable requirements that product and technology teams can deliver. Your work will span stakeholder discovery, process analysis, and Agile planning, helping ensure proposed solutions address real business needs and can be assessed against agreed outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage stakeholders to understand objectives, customer journeys, operational needs, and expected results.
• Lead workshops and process walkthroughs to clarify requirements and explore solution options.
• Translate findings into user stories, features, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional and non-functional requirements.
• Review existing and proposed processes to uncover gaps, dependencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain clear requirement records and traceability as work progresses through the delivery lifecycle.
• Prepare and refine backlog items with Product Owners and Product Managers so they are ready for PI and sprint planning.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies, including PI Planning, sprint planning, demonstrations, refinement sessions, and retrospectives.
• Help prioritise features against business objectives and define measures for determining whether delivered solutions meet requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience working as a Business Analyst.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Strong capability in eliciting, analysing, validating, and documenting business requirements.
• Practical experience with Agile delivery and product development teams, including backlog refinement and sprint planning.
• Knowledge of requirement management, process mapping, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Confident stakeholder engagement and clear communication across business and technical groups.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process improvements and document findings precisely.
