Role Overview
This is a hands-on producer-and-host position for a fast-growing Nairobi drinks brand. You will design, build, and run a rolling calendar of branded events—from live-band nights and silent disco sunsets to games nights and curated socials—making sure each one feels intentional, premium, and unforgettable. Beyond the night itself, your job is to turn every event into earned word of mouth and shareable content that keeps the brand in the city’s conversation long after the last guest leaves.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full event lifecycle: concept, venue negotiation, production, on-the-night hosting, and post-event follow-through.
- Plan and deliver 4–5 branded events per month once ramped, weaving them into a coherent year-long story rather than a series of disconnected dates.
- Partner with the Content Creation Lead and their team so every event is captured live and repurposed into content that extends the night beyond the room.
- Scout and secure high-capacity, high-energy venues in Nairobi, then convert those relationships into stocked listings alongside the Nairobi Sales Lead—targeting 6–8 new stocked venues per quarter.
- Oversee the in-market sampling campaign: coordinate activations, prepare materials, and train every sampling staff member to the brand’s standard before they head out.
- Maintain a strict premium bar across every touchpoint, with all creative and brand elements signed off by management before going live.
- Manage each event budget with owner-level discipline, spending within an agreed per-event limit and escalating anything above that to the CEO.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven end-to-end experience producing live events or experiential activations.
- A real, working network across Nairobi’s venues, nightlife, music, and creative scenes—people pick up when you call.
- Strong hosting instincts: you can hold a room, read a crowd, and keep energy high even when things go sideways.
- A self-starting, owner mentality—you don’t wait for instruction and you take responsibility for outcomes.
- Premium taste and meticulous attention to detail, refusing to ship anything mediocre.
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and travel to the coast when an event justifies it.
- A valid driving license or reliable personal transport.
- Preferred: existing relationships with venue and bar owners; FMCG or trade experience with brand stocking; experience managing sampling teams; a natural instinct for content capture; drinks or hospitality background.
What We Offer / Why Join
- A front-row seat at one of East Africa’s most exciting young drinks brands, with room to grow as the company scales.
- A young, dynamic, fun team that works hard and genuinely celebrates wins together.
- Real ownership from day one—your events, your budget, your stage.
- A competitive package, with the intangibles of creative freedom and visible impact in a buzzing market.
