Branch Manager

Role Overview

Lead the branch’s daily retail operations, balancing sales growth with dependable service, accurate stock control and smooth deliveries. You will guide the team, monitor performance and resolve operational issues so customers receive a welcoming, consistent experience and the branch meets its revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Set priorities and track progress against monthly and annual sales targets, taking action when results fall short.
• Spot opportunities to attract customers, increase sales and expand the branch’s customer base.
• Maintain an orderly, welcoming store and check that service standards are consistently met.
• Review customer feedback and service performance, resolve escalated complaints and identify ways to improve retention.
• Oversee stock control, inventory accuracy and shrinkage reduction.
• Coordinate deliveries to ensure they are timely and accurate; address logistics problems and verify supporting documentation.
• Complete or oversee branch reports and records, and ensure daily operations follow administrative and operating procedures.
• Manage staff performance and development, encouraging teamwork, accountability and a strong focus on results.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Retail Management, Marketing, Supply Chain or a related discipline.
• Three to five years of progressive retail operations experience, including at least two years in a supervisory or management position.
• Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales or revenue targets.
• Practical experience with stock management, inventory accuracy and reducing shrinkage.
• Experience maintaining customer service standards, managing escalated complaints and supporting customer retention.
• Additional training in retail operations, inventory management, customer service or leadership is an advantage.
