Attachment Program - Admin

Role Overview

As an attaché in the Swahilipot Hub Attachment Program, you will work on real projects alongside seasoned innovators, tech professionals, and community managers who drive digital transformation along the Kenyan coast. Your day-to-day will involve hands-on tasks such as supporting ongoing ventures, participating in design sprints, and contributing to community events, making your work a direct part of the Hub’s mission to nurture local talent and solve real-world problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute weekly project milestones, such as prototyping a digital solution or refining a business model.
• Prepare and deliver short presentations on research findings, market trends, or technical discoveries to peers and mentors.
• Draft content for the Hub’s internal communication channels, including blog posts, social media updates, and event summaries.
• Assist in organizing and facilitating workshops, hackathons, or networking sessions for the broader innovation community.
• Collect and organize user feedback or test data from pilot projects, then report key insights to the program lead.
• Maintain project documentation, timelines, and task boards using collaboration tools (e.g., Trello, Notion, or similar).
• Participate in weekly one-on-one check-ins with a designated mentor to discuss progress, challenges, and skill development goals.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a diploma or degree program in fields such as computer science, information technology, business information technology, communication, or innovation management.
• Demonstrated curiosity for technology, entrepreneurship, or social innovation – for example, through participation in a tech club, a previous short course, or a personal project.
• Basic proficiency with digital productivity tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office) and at least one collaboration platform.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Swahili; ability to present ideas clearly to a diverse audience.
• Ability to commit to the full program duration (7th September – 27th November 2026) and attend on-site activities at the Swahilipot Hub premises.
• Self-starter attitude with comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where priorities may shift weekly.
• No prior professional experience required, but any internship, volunteer work, or personal initiative in a tech or innovation setting is a plus.
