Job Description
Role Overview
This role leads sports coaching and activities for students, from regular training sessions to matches and specialist instruction. It also keeps sports facilities and equipment ready for use, promotes wider student participation, and develops income-generating initiatives connected to sports.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach students in a range of sports and organise suitable training activities.
- Plan and deliver specialised sports instruction according to students’ needs and abilities.
- Officiate games and other sporting events.
- Manage sports equipment and facilities, ensuring they are organised and available for activities.
- Coordinate arrangements and supervision for students attending fixtures outside the institution.
- Encourage student involvement in sports and games through active promotion of activities.
- Design and implement initiatives intended to generate income through sports-related activities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a recognised institution.
- At least 11 years of relevant work experience.
- Physical and mental fitness to carry out coaching, event and student-supervision duties.
- Good knowledge of information and communication technology (ICT).
- A master’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
