Role Overview
This role sits at the heart of the brand marketing function, turning KCB’s major sports sponsorships into experiences that customers actually feel. You’ll plan and run activation programmes for motorsport, golf, and athletics properties, coordinating with agencies, internal creative teams, and business units to ensure every sponsorship pound works hard for brand visibility and customer engagement. Your day-to-day focus is on the operational engine behind these platforms — managing timelines, suppliers, budgets, and reporting — so that the big-ticket partnerships deliver measurable commercial and brand value.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage integrated activation plans for each sports sponsorship property, aligning event activity with the overarching KCB brand strategy.
- Conceive original experiential concepts — from fan zones to product demo areas and on-site competitions — that turn sponsorship rights into meaningful customer touchpoints.
- Collaborate with business, product, and sales teams to unlock commercial value within sponsorship platforms, including VIP hospitality, cross-promotions, and customer acquisition moments.
- Work with PR, digital, content, and creative teams to ensure sponsorship moments are amplified through earned, owned, and paid channels.
- Track activation budgets, process purchase orders and invoices, and liaise with procurement and finance to maintain governance and approval discipline.
- Monitor campaign performance against brand awareness, customer engagement, media, and commercial KPIs; convert findings into clear recommendations.
- Spot emerging market opportunities and potential strategic partnerships that could extend KCB’s presence beyond current sports portfolios.
- Keep a well-organised central record of contracts, activation schedules, approvals, expenses, and post-event reports for complete auditability.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in marketing, brand management, or communications roles.
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in sponsorships, event management, or brand activations — either in-house or at an agency.
- Proven ability to track budgets and reconcile expenses, with 2 or more years of budget oversight and vendor management.
- Practical experience in stakeholder reporting and building relationships across internal teams and external partners.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present results and insights to senior decision-makers.
- A professional marketing qualification (such as CIM) is advantageous, though not essential, for well-experienced candidates.
