Role Overview
As Accountant, you will keep the day-to-day finances of a UAE meal-plan business accurate and up to date, handling operational accounting as well as supporting monthly reviews. Your work across reconciliations, customer and supplier accounts, and VAT documentation will help the business monitor its performance and meet its finance obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and oversee routine accounting transactions, maintaining reliable financial records.
- Reconcile accounts and investigate differences so balances are supported and accurate.
- Process accounts payable and track accounts receivable, following up on outstanding items as needed.
- Prepare and organise supporting information for VAT tasks and compliance requirements.
- Assist with monthly financial reports and account reviews.
- Keep invoices, reconciliations, and other accounting documents complete and well organised.
- Coordinate with operational colleagues to resolve finance queries and support daily business activity.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Two to three years of accounting experience.
- Experience working with UAE accounting processes is preferred.
- Practical knowledge of reconciliations, payables, receivables, VAT support, and monthly reporting.
- Sound understanding of accounting procedures and financial recordkeeping.
- Experience in food and beverage, meal delivery, restaurants, or retail is an advantage.
- Ability to manage routine finance work and collaborate with business operations.
