Role Overview
As an Accountant in a carton manufacturing business, you will handle routine financial transactions and keep accounting records complete and up to date. You will also manage electronic invoicing and contribute to reporting and VAT-related work, helping the business maintain reliable financial information and meet applicable requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and maintain organised, accurate accounting records.
- Create and process electronic invoices in line with the company’s procedures.
- Assist with bookkeeping, account reconciliations and preparation of financial reports.
- Support accounting activities related to VAT and help maintain compliance with relevant UAE rules.
- Review supporting documents and keep invoice and transaction records readily accessible.
- Use accounting and office software to manage financial data and routine documentation.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or an ACCA qualification.
- Practical experience in accounting and electronic invoicing is essential.
- Working knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with e-invoicing systems and related documentation.
- Knowledge of UAE VAT requirements is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
