Job Description
Finance Manager – International School
We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. In this key role, you will oversee all financial operations, provide strategic insights, and support the school's growth. You will lead a dedicated team, ensure compliance, and drive financial excellence across our institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead annual budgeting, financial planning, and variance analysis to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and the Board of Directors.
- Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, general ledger management, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements and coordinate external audits.
- Manage cash flow and maintain strong banking relationships.
- Oversee student billing, fee collection, and receivables management.
- Monitor procurement processes, operational costs, and expenditure controls to enhance efficiency.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the finance team to build capacity and foster growth.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic planning, school growth initiatives, and capital projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- 3–5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
- Experience in the education or non-profit sector is preferred.
- Experience in an international school environment is an added advantage.
Key Skills
- Strong financial reporting, budgeting, and analytical skills.
- Sound knowledge of local tax and statutory requirements.
- High integrity, attention to detail, and strong leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for interacting with stakeholders.
