Job Overview: A Hotel Sales Representative is responsible for generating revenue by promoting and selling accommodations, event spaces, and packages to corporate clients, travel agencies, and groups. They serve as the property's representative, driving bookings, managing contracts, and securing long-term client relationships to maximize profitability.
Core Responsibilities
- Client Prospecting: Identify and pursue new sales leads through cold calling, networking, and industry research.
- Presentations & Tours: Conduct site inspections and create compelling presentations that highlight the property’s amenities and unique selling points.
- Customized Proposals: Develop tailored packages and proposals with accurate pricing and terms for meetings, weddings, and group blocks.
- Negotiation & Contracting: Negotiate rates, facilitate contracts, and ensure clear communication of booking details to the events and operations teams.
- Market Analysis: Monitor competitor pricing, identify industry trends, and adjust outreach strategies accordingly.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
A bachelor’s degree or a diploma in hospitality, business, marketing, or a related field is highly preferred.
Experience
Proven track record in hospitality sales, account management, or the broader hotel sector.
Key Skills
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal communication abilities.
