Field Service Engineer (High-Speed Rotary Blowing Machines)
About the Opportunity
Sidel is seeking a self-motivated Field Service Engineer (FSE) with specialized expertise in High-Speed Rotary Blowing machine technology. In this role, you will perform installation, startup, commissioning, and testing of Sidel equipment at customer sites.
Your Mission
We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong field service background in mechanical, mechatronics, or electromechanical systems. The ideal candidate:
- Must be knowledgeable and experienced with PET Blowing machines.
- Experience with Plasma Coating Technology is an advantage.
- Is knowledgeable and experienced in ancillary equipment.
- Possesses a good level of communication and reporting, both internally and externally, for domestic and international assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, qualification, testing, and evaluation of equipment performance at customer plants according to technical, contractual, and safety specifications.
- Operate on mechanical systems and HMI for regular activities and troubleshooting in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Execute electrical work, such as cable wiring.
- Properly handle, check, and transfer equipment non-conformities.
- Prepare job progress reports and technical reports detailing the activities carried out.
- Ensure ultimate internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Perform all activities in line with SOPs, Sidel coordination plan (HSE), and customer site rules.
- Report after-sales opportunities detected at customer sites.
- Coach junior colleagues on on-site behavior, technical activities, troubleshooting, and reporting deliverables.
- Report to the Installation Site Manager regarding team site activities.
Your Profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in field services, specifically with High-Speed Blowing machines.
- Graduate of Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) with strong reporting skills.
- Able to travel up to 90%, including both domestic and international assignments.
- Experience in beverage CAN and GLASS is a plus.
- Experience with other packaging equipment, such as Labelers and Fillers, is a plus.
- Knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens / B&R / ELAU) is a plus.
